Chen Lian
Chen Lian was born in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province in 1982. In 1998, he was admitted to the high school affiliated to the Chinese Academy of fine arts. In 2002, he was recommended to study in the Sculpture Department of the Chinese Academy of fine arts. In 2007, he entered the Sculpture Department of the Chinese Academy of fine arts for a master's degree. During his undergraduate and master studies, many of his sculptures participated in professional competitions and exhibitions at home and abroad, such as in August 2005 In September 2009, his work "chess" won the Bronze Award in the "Ode to peace" China International Steel Welding Art Invitational Competition. In September 2009, his work "deposit" won the excellent award in the 12th Zhejiang Art Exhibition. In June 2010, his works "simple life" and "classmate gathering" were rated as "excellent graduation works" and exhibited in the Art Museum of the Chinese Academy of fine arts.
